A flat tire on the right front of the truck delayed our convoy’s start. The weak link in the ground convoy system was stopping for a disabled vehicle. AAA did not send repair trucks.

A stopped convoy is as exposed to enemy fire as a fire hydrant to each passing dog. That was the incentive to get going so we often towed the truck and fixed the problem later.
