Saigon February 1969 2

Paintings for sale? I was without words to express my surprise. After months living in underground dirt bunker this apartment would have been the good life.

$5 per day bought me the service of a pedal-cab, a bicycle with a seat over the front wheel and a driver. This was a great way to see Saigon at a slow pace and a perfect platform for taking pictures. Motorized versions were also for rent but I wanted to get a feel for Saigon. My driver spoke only a few words of English and used the 1 to 10 rating system but we communicated well enough.  He had leg power without limit and kept up with traffic flow for 12 hours without slowing his pace.
