Web Sites That Help Veterans

Veterans Administration Websites  Websites that provide information on Veterans benefits and how to file/ask for them. Accordingly, there are many sites that explain how to obtain books, military/medical records, information and how to appeal a denied claim with the VA. This is great information for all Veterans.

Social Security Disability Center   The site is rich with information about Social Security in general, S.S. Disability, and has special sections for veterans. Tracy Curtis alerted me to the site and the quote in her email follows. "Many veterans will have the need to file for Social Security Disability benefits. The Social Security and Disability Resource Center website (www.ssdrc.com) provides answers to questions concerning how to apply for disability, how to appeal a claim in the event of a denial, how to navigate the federal system, and how to avoid certain mistakes that are commonly made by applicants filing for either SSD (social security disability) or SSI (supplemental security income) benefits."

Mesothelioma Support Network  Mesothelioma Symptoms is an extensive database of information and resources for patients and their families to better understand the Symptoms of Mesothelioma and the various aspects of diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, as well as mesothelioma life expectancy.

Mesothelioma Center   An advocacy group that helps patients suffering from asbestos related diseases. We work 1 -on- 1 with individuals to find local doctors, treatment centers and support groups. Additionally our website is a comprehensive resource for up to date information on asbestos and its negative health effects.

Mesothelioma Association   They provide the most up-to-date information on mesothelioma, including causes, symptoms, treatment options and work in coordination with top cancer centers in the United States.

Vietnam Veterans of America   A national organization of local chapters. Many types of help for Veterans are available at local chapters and those can be located on this site.
